Hello Garden and Mountain families,

This week our theme was loose parts! The children explored cardboard boxes and continued their exploration of balls and ramps. The children also used cups and shovels in the water table to scoop and pour.

At circle time the children listened to the books Over in the Meadow, Who Took the Cookie from the Cookie Jar, and Click, Clack, Quackity- Quack. The children also listened to the songs “Slippery Fish,” “Itsy Bitsy Spider,” and “5 Little Monkeys.”

For art this week the children used red and blue finger paint to make patriotic stars.

For large motor activities this week the children practiced the downward dog yoga pose, pushed walking toys, and used the seesaw on the playground.

In music class with Ms. Kathleen the children danced with scarves and sang “ba-ba” into a microphone. They also played jingle bells.
