Hello Garden and Mountain Families,

We had another excellent week in the infant rooms. Our theme for this week was “families.” During circle time the children listened to the songs, “The More We Get Together,” “Five Little Ducks,” and “When I was a Baby.” The children also listened to the books Families, How Do I Love You?, and Global Babies.

For art activities this week, the children continued painting autumn leaves to hang on our classroom tree. The children also finger painted the letters of their initials. Another interesting sensory experience that the children engaged in this week was magnets. They enjoyed sticking magnets to a metal baking sheet and pulling them off.

During music with Ms. Kathleen, the children took turns beating a drum with a drum stick. They also sang “ba-ba” into a microphone, and lastly they danced with scarves while listening to baroque music.
