Hello Dogwood families,
Our exploration of fall colors happened right on time as the leaves on the trees really started to change. We have loved finding leaves of different colors outside and a good handful have come inside with us as well. We read The Leaves Fall All Around and Fall Animals.
We are still regularly going outside so please be sure to leave coats, hats, gloves, shoes, and even pants that are appropriate for the weather.
Just as our trees are changing around us, so are our animals. Next week we will be talking about farm animals specifically, including how they get ready for fall and winter. Expect lots of animal sound practice through the week, as well as requests for “Old McDonald.”
Song of the week: Grandma’s Farm
We’re on our way
We’re on our way
On our way to grandma’s farm
(Repeat)
Down on grandma’s farm there is a (insert animal color and name, ex little pink pig)
(Repeat)
And the (animal), it makes a sound like this
(Animal sound)
And the (animal), it makes a sound like this
(Animal sound)
Have a great weekend!
