Hello Garden and Mountain Families,
We had another great week in the infant rooms. Our theme for this week was colors. During circle time we sang, “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star,” “Slippery Fish,” and “My Body Makes Music.” We also read the books Penguins, Penguins, Everywhere, Who Am I? Snowy Animals, and We’re Going to the Zoo.
Due to the cold and wet weather this week, the children spent some extra time doing art activities indoors. First, the children worked together to paint a yellow school bus mural using brushes and rollers. Then the children painted black wheels to go on the bus. Later in the week the children used marbles, paint and paper in a Tupperware, to make ornaments. The children really enjoyed shaking and listening to the marbles move around.
During music with Ms. Kathleen this week, the children sang songs about love. Ms. Kathleen sang, “Skid-a-Ma-Rink” and “You Are My Sunshine.” The children also took turns singing “ba ba” into a microphone. Lastly, they listened to Ms. Kathleen sing “Frosty the Snowman.”
