Dear Evergreen Families,

This week we have been talking about transportation and traveling for the holidays. The children have enjoyed being train conductors, mechanics, and passengers in dramatic play. They have colored train tickets and post cards for family and friends.

In our small groups we have been doing word bingo for literacy and color transfer with tissue paper  for art. We have also been working on our holiday gifts for parents. Yes, the amazing cinnamon smell that fills the school is all thanks to us!

The teachers have been encouraging the children to put on their winter gear all on their own. We have a new activity to practice buttoning and another for lacing. Children are encouraged to get dressed, zipped, and buttoned up on their own. Please help your child at home to keep practicing.

Our Z book is focusing on empathy responses. We have practiced using these responses throughout the week with any situation that arises.
