Dear River Families,

We hope you enjoy the gifts from you child! They worked for the last few weeks to write, revise, and publish their books for you. We had a lovely school-wide event where the children presented a gift to Dogwood and then each room delivered until everyone had a gift. We worked this week on new sight words, writing numbers, and introduced digraphs. We learned a digraph chant for ch, sh, qu, ph, th, and wh. We came up with a ton of words that have these sounds at the beginning or end of words! We finished off our unit on shapes and geometric shapes in Math and learned a new song on the metallophones.

Treehouse is closed 12/22- 12/31 and 1/2. Academic break 12/27-12/28 and will continue 1/2 – 1/4 (following BVSD).  We will not have any shares until 1/9. I will send out the rest of the year’s share descriptions and schedules in the new year. Please enjoy your winter break and safe travels!
