Greetings Birch Families,
We had lots of fun playing under the sun this week. From splashing in the water tables to taking adventurous walks outside. We stopped to smell the different flowers since there were so many of them. The children also enjoyed playing with lots of play doh.
One of the books we read this week was Inside Your Outside by Dr. Seuss. This book really illustrates how our bodies help us see, taste, touch, smell, and hear.
In art, we used sponge painting to allow the kids to feel a sponge, and make a caterpillar. This is a great fine motor skill because they learned to dab just a little bit of paint on papers. We also reviewed the names of shapes and then they built a robot out of shapes. Our favorite song this week was the Color Song.
Have a great weekend!
