Dear Cedar families, 

This week in the Cedar classroom we continued exploring our nature theme, concentrating on bugs. We learned about butterflies, spiders, bees, and ants. One of the children’s favorite activities this week was hearing the story The Big Hungry Caterpillar and watching the puppet change from caterpillar to butterfly. The children used their gross motor skills while marching to “The Ants go Marching.” Our sensory activities included making buzzing sounds with the shaker eggs to the song “Bumblebee” by Laurie Berkner. Next week we are excited about starting our Science Discovery theme!
