Dear Forest Families,

This week in forest the children explored new roles they could play while in each center. They could choose between family members and friends to work in the living room, bathroom, garage, laundry room, bedroom, and kitchen. The class has been exploring different kinds of families- different sizes, all the members of a family, families from different countries and how our families relate!

During our “Play Planning” the children continued to plan their play through drawings, messages (“I am going to..”) and started the beginning writing stages to support what their plan is in the center they choose to play in.

In the afternoon this week the children explored math concepts through remember and replicate with play-doh. This activity expands on memory, fine motor skills, and spatial awareness skills.

With the weather becoming cooler please make sure to have extra clothes and a warm jacket for your child here at school. Also please sign up for conferences that are coming up next month!
