Research shows that strong social/emotional proficiency in early childhood is a good predictor of later success in school and adulthood. And children with emotional or behavioral challenges are likely to receive less adult support for development and learning and to be more isolated from peers.
We are happy to have the Early Childhood Professionals from Healthy Learning Paths with us again this year for a series of parent education presentations. Please join us for information on how you can support your child’s social/emotional growth at home.

Staff Notes
Our newest staff member – Laura Mortell – joined the Evergreen team on September 12th. Two days later she was diagnosed with breast cancer. In the short amount of time in the classroom, she had already made some connections with the children and was leading small groups. For obvious reasons, Laura will be taking some time off from Treehouse to begin treatment and care for her health. Please join all the members of Treehouse in wishing her strength and a full recovery. We hope to see her back at Treehouse soon! For information on how you can contribute to Laura and her family during this time, please email Patti – patti@treehouselearning.com.
