Light and Love Holiday Performances Continue This Week
The Light and Love performances are an annual event for Treehouse. Our music teacher, Ms. Kathleen, puts together a lovely show which highlights the love and light of the season and includes a variety of songs celebrating many cultures and festivities of the winter holidays. We hope you are able to join us and please invite extended family also.
• Aspen classrooms will perform here in the big room at Treehouse. Parking will be limited! If you are not attending these performances, please avoid the parking lot between 4:45-5:45 pm as it will be full!
• Evergreen performance will take place at the Lafayette Public Library, located across the street from the King Soopers on Baseline and 287, at 775 Baseline Rd, Lafayette, CO 80026. Overflow parking available in the King Soopers parking lot.
• All performances begin at 5:00 pm…please do not arrive at the library before 4:30!
o Tuesday, December 13th – Evergreen Classroom at the Lafayette Library
o Thursday, December 15th – Aspen Classroom here at Treehouse.
Share-a-Gift
Treehouse is participating in Share-a-Gift again this year. The Share-a-Gift toy collection box is in the front lobby. Share-a-Gift is an annual, all-volunteer toy collection and distribution holiday project encompassing the Boulder Valley Schools area. Last year over 600 households (1700 boys and girls, ages birth to 14) received these community donations. To be successful, Share-a-Gift needs thousands of high quality, new and used toys, games, books, and puzzles. School collections are the biggest source of toys for Share-a-Gift. This collection allows children to meaningfully participate in gift giving by sharing their own gently used or new toys with less fortunate children in Boulder county. Toys may be dropped off in the Share-a-Gift box Monday, November 28th through Wednesday, December 14th. Thanks for sharing with your community. Teacher – Staff Gift Policy
This time of the year we often get questions about teacher gifts. Our gift policy limits the value of individual gifts to $25 maximum. We ask that whole teaching teams or the entire staff be recognized, and since this may encompass a large number of people – a contribution to our Staff Appreciation Fund is a great way to recognize all your child’s teachers. At the end of the year the fund is divided equally between all staff members – including specials teachers and kitchen staff. There is no obligation! Please do what is comfortable for your family. We also love warm hugs, smiles and hand written notes.
Holiday Closures
Treehouse will be CLOSED – December 26th-January 2nd for winter break. We will reopen January 3rd.
