We got started with the seasons and the weather in every season.   

Here are the four seasons of the year, “Las Estaciones del ano”:

 Invierno  →  Winter;  Primavera  →   Spring;  Verano  →  Summer;  Otono  →  Fall

The next question I will be asking the children is What’s the weather like, “Que tiempo hace?”

Hace frio → It’s cold           

Hace viento → it’s windy        

Hace calor → It’s hot

Hace sol → It’s sunny        

Hace buen tiempo → It’s good weather

Hace mal tiempo → It’s bad weather                        

Llueve → it rains

Nieva → It snows          

Esta caliente → It’s hot

 

One of the songs that we will be learning is a popular Spanish song that talks about the colors of Spring.

De colores, de colores se visten los campos en la primavera.

De colores, de colores son los pajaritos que vienen de afuera.

De colores, de colores es el arco iris que vemos lucir.

Y por eso los grandes amores de muchos colores me gustan a mi.
