Good afternoon Dogwood families,

This week, Dogwood and Cedar learned about Birds and Squirrels.

During small circle, the children sang: La Lechuza, Ring Around the Rosie, The Robin Song, and Mr. Golden Sun.

The children read: Every Day Birds, Welcome Back Animals, Alligator is Angry, and My Friends/Mis Amigos

The children worked on their large motor skills when doing star jumps, playing follow the leader, rolling balls to our friends, and kicking balls.

Practical life skills were used when: Transferring water with cups, using alligator tweezers, matching colors, and sorting animals.

During art, the children: Painted with feathers, used small brushes and paint sticks.

The children explored with: Soapy water in the sensory table and sticky contact paper.

During music with Ms. Kathleen, the children, sang nursery rhymes, listened to animal sounds, played shaker eggs, and danced with scarves.

Next week we will be talking about gardening and planting!
