The children practiced jumping like frogs, walking on lily pads jumping like frogs, walking on lily pads, and slithering like salamanders. In our small group lessons this week we looked at pictures of a frog’s life cycle, sang “Five Green and Speckled Frogs” and “Days of The Week”
During circle time, this week we read: The Very Hungry Caterpillar, It’s Mine and Born to Be a Butterfly. This week the children continued building their practical life skills by matching colors, transferring water with a sponge, and picking up pom poms with clothes pins. This week during art we painted with brown, and colored with crayons. The children explored playdoh and water in the sensory table.
During music with Ms. Kathleen we played the jingle bells. She also brought back the ever-popular Driving My Tractor book, as well as scarves for the kids to dance around the classroom with. The kids also sang along to the Pete the Cat books and danced to “We Are the Dinosaur
