Good Day Evergreen Families and Thank You for a great school year????

This week was our last week discussing specific gardens as well as bugs and insects. The students were given a lesson describing the differences between a bug and insect. They counted legs, looked for wings and antenna. They could sort them into their categories and then went outside specifically looking for insects.

We also continued the activity Story Lab which is when a small group is read a familiar book and asked to listen for a specific prompt. This week we read Me First at group time and asked each student to listen for a part of the story they had experienced after which they turned and shared with a friend. We then came back to group and shared their life experiences that they related to.

In other areas, this week we…

  • Are writing initial letter sounds on lines
  • Used scrap paper to make insects and bugs
  • Checked on the garden to find bell peppers and tomatoes growing
  • “Remember and Replicate” to focus on following directions and lengthening attention span

Thank you

Ms. Kristine, Ms. Kristin, Ms. Riann, Ms. Kira
