Hello Birch families,

This week we talked about farm animals. We discussed what types of animals live on a farm and what sounds they make. We pretended to be these animals and we even saw some at The Little Angel’s Petting Zoo! We practiced some yoga skills along with running and jumping. In our small group lessons we listened to animal sounds and looked at photos of many farm animals!

During circle time we talked about colors, shapes, and numbers! The children had fun scooping and pouring water in the outside water table, working a giant floor puzzle, and looking at seashells through magnifying glasses. This week in art the children created a picture of their favorite farm animal.

In music, Ms. Kathleen introduced us to the songbooks Puff the Magic Dragon and We’re Going to the Zoo! We also learned a new rhythm with sticks! The children also danced with a partner.
