Hello Aspen Families!

This week in Aspen we continued talking about plants and animals focusing on pumpkins and apples! The children loved talking about what their favorite animals were: goats, pigs, dinosaurs, and horses and of course cats and dogs! The children also really enjoyed making their own homemade apple sauce!! They loved cutting the apples and adding the water and cinnamon, but tasting it was probably the best part!

In circle this week we read What will Grow, Farm Animals, ABC Animals, Plant the Tiny Seed, and Apples and Pumpkins. This week  we counted the apples we put into our apple sauce and practiced finding the numbers 1-5. We continued working on recognizing our colors and shapes!

This week in music the children sang finger play songs, listened to “Driving My Tractor”, some animal sounds, and they danced with scarves. In P.E. the children worked on their balancing on the balance beam, we did yoga, and we played Red Light/Green Light outside!
