Dear Aspen Families,
This week we took a closer look into our home we call Earth. We talked about the three key components of Earth which are land, air, and water. The children painted our Earth with brushes and their hand prints. Then they explored sensory bottles to show land, water, and air. The class discussed the different things that you find on land, in water, and in the air. We read We’re Going On A Nature Hunt, and just like the book, we took a nature hunt of our own. We walked over the bridge and hopped over the stepping stones with a partner. The children found leaves, crab apples, and grasshoppers.
During music class, Ms. Karina read and sang Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. She gave the children scarves to dance around with as well. The children were most excited to hear the animal sounds.
On Friday, the children enjoyed songs and stories by local story teller, Beth Epley. The children enjoyed dancing while she played guitar and sang songs.
