Dear Birch Families,
This week in Birch we introduced a new work called “locking cubes.” There are 6 different cubes with different locks and colors. While they were using them, I introduced the word “trade” and it was so heartwarming seeing them use the word and trade their cubes.
This week we read There was an Old Lady who Swallowed Some Leaves and talked about how is not a good idea to eat leaves, unless of course it’s an herb from the garden. During music with Ms. Karina, the children listened to animal sounds. The children especially enjoyed singing “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” and pretending to use oars.
On Friday, we took a walk to observe the changing season. The children collected leaves from the ground on the way back. The children then enjoyed using the leaves to paint.
Hope you all have a good weekend!
Ms. Lorena and Ms. Abbi
